Hi,

HOW TO PREPARE FOR SCHOOL CONDITIONING

9 TIPS FOR VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS

-----------------------------------
CONDITIONING

When getting ready for school team tryouts this fall, an important focus of your preparation should be conditioning.

There are many advantages to being in great shape going into tryouts.

1. Tryouts for school teams usually involve a lot of running.

Many coaches use running to eliminate the lazy ones. For example, you may be required to run a mile for time.

Most people don't like running and the coach wants to see who will do what they are told. If the student isn't willing to complete the run, then they are likely not going to work hard in practice.

2. Being in great shape gives you confidence.

If you are in great shape, you'll fatigue less often and make fewer errors. You'll keep going while others tire out. Staying strong and feeling good will keep you confident.

The more confident you are, the better you'll feel. And this will make volleyball more fun to play.

If you're in good shape, you'll definitely have an advantage at tryouts.
